Rodney Ashby is the Managing Principal of Cornerstone RPO and co-owns delivery, offering executive leadership and oversight over all of Cornerstone RPO’s operations and engagements. His role extends into the business development process serving as Cornerstone RPO’s subject matter expert in recruiting strategies, process design and project execution.
Rodney’s background of success started on the hard court as a Division I starting Center and Captain of his alma mater, Virginia Commonwealth University, where he also earned his B.S. Degree. His basketball career continued beyond his collegiate days and beyond the U.S. borders, playing professional basketball in Brazil and touring through Europe playing against the Harlem Globetrotters.
After coaching back at VCU, Rodney hung up his size 15 high tops and moved into the world of recruitment. Early in this new career Rodney found his professional passion, rising rapidly through the ranks of the nation’s largest IT and Communications Staffing Firm. After several years in leadership roles with a national management consulting firm specializing in Talent Acquisition, Rodney’s entrepreneurial instincts led him to cofound his own recruiting consulting company, Cornerstone RPO.
Dave co-owns delivery within Cornerstone RPO, offering executive leadership and oversight over Cornerstone RPO’s engagements. Dave’s focus is to provide thought leadership and drive strategy, focusing on the acquisition and development of CRPO’s consultants and creating effective value propositions for our clients.
Dave began consulting in the recruitment space 15 years ago with RD Raab, a leader and pioneer in RPO. During his time at RDR he supported and led engagements with many of the top financial services and software applications firms in the nation. Dave moved on from RDR to become a Partner at Cornerstone RPO.
Brian Lile provides new business development efforts for Cornerstone RPO. He brings over 15 years of experience in the recruiting industry, having worked for companies ranging from small, professional niche recruiting firms up to Fortune 500 staffing giant Kelly Services.
Brian grew up in the Richmond area and graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelors in Business Management. He began his professional career in the Washington, DC area and relocated back home to Richmond with his wife Sarah in 2009. They currently live in Richmond with their son Grayson and daughter Charlotte.
Ben Danahar joined Cornerstone RPO as the Vice President of Strategic accounts in January 2019 having previously directed a boutique RPO practice headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Ben brings a wealth of recruitment industry knowledge and sales processes to enhance CRPO’s presence in the Mid-West markets.
Ben has been described as a strong innovator in the recruiting industry. Embracing and understanding the tools and technologies needed to get the best results from every project. Always approaching each client-partner interaction with an open mind and no preconceived ideas of what the perfect solution will be until all challenges and business objectives have been understood. Adept in identifying the most creative and cost-effective solutions for CRPO customers.
Through the creation of strategic alliances Ben has developed a network of Recruitment based solutions and tools that he is passionate about sharing. Always understanding the need to be creative and evolve as the Talent market continues to be a challenge for growing businesses.
Away from life at Cornerstone Ben has been fortunate enough to travel extensively spending time living in his native England as well as Spain and both North and South here in the US. As a UEFA B certified soccer coach Ben enjoys passing on his experiences from his playing days to the next generations.
Steve is responsible for the Business Development needs of the company. He brings 30+ years of Executive Leadership experience in Financial Services, with a strong focus on strategic growth. He most recently came from Park Sterling Bank where he was Head of Mortgage Banking. Steve earned his degree from The University of Richmond. He is currently the Vice Chairman of The National Volunteer Leadership Council for The March of Dimes and has held several Non-Profit Leadership positions throughout his career.
Jeff joined Cornerstone RPO in early 2019 after progressing through multiple roles with a boutique Milwaukee area RPO firm over a 5-year period. As a 10-year veteran in the talent acquisition space, Jeff has supported projects from both the program management and the individual contributor functions of a recruitment delivery model. His recruitment program management background has generally focused on engineering, operations, supply chain and skilled trades projects but also includes experience leading several specialized IT, finance and sales recruitment engagements as well. In his day to day, Jeff is driven by a strong desire to provide best in class customer service and excellent return on investment to each client partnership he manages. He also enjoys his role as a strategic resource for the consultants on the program teams he oversees.
Academically, Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Outside of the office, he is an avid ice hockey player and a novice practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Jeff is a Program Manager with CornerstoneRPO and has been in the recruiting industry since 2006. He began his recruiting career in the biotechnology space for a few years before transitioning to CornerstoneRPO in a recruiting capacity. Over the last 7 years at CRPO, Jeff has contributed as an individual consultant, lead small teams, managed client partnerships and now oversees multiple enterprise engagements. Jeff is a Richmond native, Springer and VCU Ram. He currently resides in Midlothian, VA with his wife, Meredith, and three daughters.
Beth has spent more than 15 years in the recruiting industry, primarily focused on Recruiting, Project Management and Onboarding processes. She joined Cornerstone RPO in 2011 as a Recruiting Consultant and spent the majority of her tenure recruiting for and managing a large hospitality client. She also recruited for clients within the healthcare, financial and internal recruiting and is currently overseeing recruiting teams for short term and small projects. Beth’s recruiting career began at Manpower, a large staffing firm, where she oversaw business development and candidate placement. Beth then moved into a focused recruiting role with Capital One where she managed Analyst recruiting at 12 Ivy League Universities. Here, Beth also served as the Interim Department Lead and Project Manager. Beth graduated from James Madison University with a BA in Business concentrating in Human Resources. Beth and her husband, John, have three boys. She also sits on the Focus Richmond Board and has served on numerous charity Junior Boards.
Neal is an Account Manager and Recruiting Consultant for Cornerstone RPO. He joined the team supporting one of the worlds larges IT companies in September of 2018. With a strong background in sales, client and stakeholder support, and operations, he decided to shift his talents to recruiting and account managing in September of 2018. Outside of recruiting, Neal is an avid classical performer, and can be found performing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dana is a Jr. Project Manager and Recruiting Consultant for the Capital One account with Cornerstone RPO and has been in the HR and recruiting industry since graduating from Virginia Tech in 2007. She began her HR career as an HR Manager for Target eventually transitioning into the recruiting field recruiting for positions in healthcare and local government. She joined Cornerstone RPO in 2014 and is currently helping to find HR Coordinators and Recruiters to sit onsite at Capital One across the US. Dana moved to Richmond, VA in 2008 where she currently lives with her husband and daughter.
Finance and Administration
Carter Dages – Chief Financial Officer
Serving as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, Carter Dages provides primary leadership and oversight over the Company’s finance and accounting and helps to inform the Company’s marketing and operational successes. Applying his 36 years of diverse business experience to Cornerstone RPO, prior to joining Cornerstone RPO’s team Carter served as the Vice President and CFO of Highway Service Ventures, Inc., Controller of Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, and a CPA and Manager with KPMG.
Carter obtained his MBA from the University of Richmond and his BS in Accounting from Radford University. Active in his community, he serves as the Treasurer of Rotary International’s District 7600 and is a member of the Rotary Club of Innsbrook. In 2013 and 2018 he was proud to have organized two significant fundraising events on behalf of our nation’s wounded servicemen and women in conjunction with the Wounded Warrior Project.
Kristine Manahan – Operations Analyst for Recruiting and Financial Systems
Kristine joined the Cornerstone RPO team in 2011 as a Recruiting Analyst. She currently provides internal operational support and system administration for CRPO with a primary focus on accounts receivable. She is a Virginia Tech graduate and resides in Richmond with her husband, Justin, and three sons – Caleb, Noah and Luke.
Trista Sutphin – Human Resource Specialist
Trista joined Cornerstone RPO in 2015 as the Executive Operational Support Specialist. She came into the organization after completing her Master’s Degree in Human Resources. She served as support for Executive Management while overseeing operations, billing, payroll, and benefits administration. In her current role as the Human Resource Specialist, she not only continues to oversee accounts payable, payroll and benefits, but she also handles onboarding, administration, time management, communication, and relations for CRPO employees. Trista currently resides in North Chesterfield, VA with her husband.
Kevin has been employed with Cornerstone RPO since March 2014. A former professional soccer player, Kevin has found a good home for his competitiveness while establishing a 6 year track record of success in recruiting. He was a four-year starter at James Madison University and was introduced to recruiting as a career from a former teammate. He currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife Chelsea and their 3 year old Pit/Lab mix, Hunter.
Ashley Abbruzzese has also been with Cornerstone RPO since March 2014. Ashley has extensive experience in IT and other technical fields. Prior to joining Cornerstone RPO, Ashley worked in IT staffing for 6 years. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in both Communications and Psychology from Virginia Tech, where she also played club soccer. In fact, it was a former soccer coach who introduced her to recruiting as a possible career. She resides in Richmond, VA with her fiancé, Jesse.
