Recruiting Background/What you enjoy about recruiting? I spent 10 years in retail where my primary focus was on regional recruitment of hourly talent. I then moved into a Recruiting Director role for an Am Law Top 200 firm based here in Richmond. My favorite aspect of recruiting is getting the “I got the job!” e-mails from candidates. After the last year, it feels good to see the weight of career uncertainty getting lifted off someone’s shoulders!
Greatest (or most recent) professional success: I will be graduating University of Richmond in just a few weeks where I focus on Employment Law and how it relates to diverse recruiting. I was recently accepted into Harvard’s Extension School, where I hope to broaden my understanding of how public policy and social justice impacts all of us in Human Resources.
Unique talents/interests: My interests include the Washington Nationals and Wizards, comedies from the ‘70s, my vegetable garden, and my two cats, Turtle and Viola.
Recruiting Background/What you enjoy about recruiting? I have approximately 20 years of recruiting experience within the following industries – Healthcare, Financial, Hospitality, Warehouse/Distribution, Maintenance, Manufacturing and Retail.
I enjoy the feeling that I am a matchmaker when a client comes needing assistance in finding the right candidate for their open position. Being able to attract, locate, present and connect that candidate with the right employer gives me great satisfaction and the feels of knowing I was able to be the one that brought this match together.
Greatest (or most recent) professional success: Becoming a limited partner with stock ownership. It was a great honor to be nominated by the board of directors.
My interests include horribly singing karaoke and traveling. I’m looking forward to continuing my international travel to attend Diner en Blanc events all over the world. I’ve already completed these secret pop-up dinners in Paris, France and Havana, Cuba. The other international cities I’m looking to attend are: Montreal, Sydney, London, Bangkok, Tokyo, Santo Domingo and Rio de Janeiro.
